The challenge
The site presented complex stormwater constraints, a constrained downstream discharge point and a significant fall across the developable area. Council required demonstrated no-worsening flood behaviour while the client required lot yield to be protected.

Our solution
We modelled the full catchment, restructured the drainage network to a staged trunk system and used distributed on-site detention combined with a bio-retention basin to meet both quantity and quality targets. Earthworks were rebalanced to remove the need for imported fill.

The outcome
The project was delivered efficiently with streamlined council approvals and high-quality design outcomes. Lot yield was retained in full and the earthworks balance saved a substantial volume of import.
