The challenge
The corridor had to remain open to traffic throughout construction, with existing services running directly beneath the proposed pavement widening.

Our solution
Design was staged into four traffic phases with temporary pavements and diversions. Service relocations were coordinated with each authority and drainage renewal was sequenced to keep the corridor drained at all times.

The outcome
The upgrade was delivered without a full corridor closure, with improved intersection capacity and renewed drainage capacity for the design storm.
