The challenge
Accessibility requirements limited allowable path grades across a site with significant natural fall, while reactive clay soils drove footing design.

Our solution
Site grading was reworked around an accessible spine path with terraced villa pads. Stiffened raft footings were adopted with a consistent detail set across villa types to simplify construction.

The outcome
All primary paths of travel achieved compliant grades without retaining walls in resident areas, and a single repeated footing type reduced construction variability.
